Jade's Story

Jades life was filled with an abundance of fun

Jade Lily Dixson was born on the 2nd January 2001 alongside her twin sister Georgia. She has two older brothers, Josh and Shane. Her parents Mark and Julie were kept very busy. Jade was a beautiful and caring girl who from a very young age showed an amazing ability to leave a lasting impression on everyone she met, with her infectious smile and a huge hug to go with it. Jade always went out of her way to look after anyone that needed help.

Jade was a very talented football player

Jade was a very talented football player and was an integral part of convincing her school mates to join her local football club, The Woombye Snakes. She played alongside twin sister Georgia and it wasn’t long before they made their mark in Sunshine Coast Football. In 2018, Jade was selected to play in the U17 Women’s National Premier League for the Sunshine Coast Wanderers.Jades life was filled with an abundance of fun, lots of love, laughter, adventure and mischief.

Jade had an awesome life

She had an awesome life, supported with so much love from her amazing family, extended family and her many friends, who all loved her very dearly.Jade was a 17 year old student in her last year of high school. On the 27th March 2018, Jade was involved in a single vehicle accident in Dulong, where she was a passenger in a car that lost control and rolled into a tree driven by a 17 year old P plater. She died in the early hours of Wednesday 28th March on her way to hospital from multiple injuries. Family and friends, local sporting clubs, local schools and a tight knit community have been left devastated by the loss of Jade. A tragic waste of a beautiful girl’s life which was preventable.
